Background Information:

Buddha Academy Boarding School is a charitable educational institution patronized by the All Nepal Himalayan Buddhist Association. Mr Dorje Namgyal Lama has been administering the Academy since last 15 years as the Principal.

The school was established in the year 1989, with a hostel of 15 small rooms for both the sexes, on a big plot of land gifted by the late king Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, with 60 children and a temporary shanty serving as a class rooms. With gradual financial supports from the individual donors and aid associations abroad, we managed to construct, expand and improve the quality of school class-rooms, children’s home, school dispensary, a community kitchen and administrative block.
