It
is our broad aims and objectives to restore the dignity of these
children through giving them an exposure to all round development
and enable them to play an vital role as an potential agent of positive
change, in their families and the community they belong, once they
leave the school, without losing their cultural and social identity.
This we believe can have positive implications of restoring hope
and encouragement among other equally deprived children and generate
similar will to help and support such children in the society as
a whole.

Folk dancers in
native costumes |
The
daily fixed time-table of extra-curricula activities highlights
the importance of building team spirits and social responsibility
in a child’s tender mind which would further generate the
feeling of universal brotherhood. These include sprucing up the
school compound and class-rooms, morning and evening prayers for
the boarders.

Another
important aims of these activities are to preserve the ethnic cultural
and social identity of the students in broad terms. The activities
include dances in their native costumes and music representing the
cross ethnic origins of Nepal. We also take care of the spiritual
aspirations of the children, in addition to the daily prayers, by
conducting the primary teachings of Buddha. The Tibetan language
lessons are also conducted on optional basis.
