HIGHLIGHT OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS:
The Buddha Academy’s tradition of excelling in the SLC examinations has once again been repeated and our latest, the VIII SLC batch has produced cent percent result by securing 26 First Divisions, 13 Second Divisions.
We have come a long way and the overall successes of our efforts can be gauged from the following facts and figures:-
• To date the total number of students admitted since the time of inception comes to 1364 students.
• So far we have produced eight batches of successful SLC (Secondary Level Certificate) totaling 181 students out of which 81 were girls.
• Out of these 10 students secured Distinction, 134 First Division, 37 2nd Division.
• Those who had passed SLC Board Examinations; 60 (30 old students and 30 new) of them are continuing to study in nearby colleges and doing fine. Some of them continue to use our school hostel facilities because they don’t have their own families or guardians to take care of them.
• In the last 18 years we had sent 10 girls for different levels of nursing trainings and one of them has been in charge of our school dispensary for the last many years.

| The
school offers wide range of extra curricular activities like
outdoor and indoor sports, arts, dance, music etc and we do encourage
the students who have natural talents in other fields outside
the school academic curriculum. There are 30 teachers who
teach nursery, kindergarten, class 1 to 10 and “Special
Class”, a special group of students who are making late
entry in their studies and needs intensive coaching to catch
up with the rest of their class-mates. |

The school farm project continues to yield good paddy and corn harvest and variety of seasonable vegetable for the school kitchen. The senior hostel students got themselves involved in the sowing and harvesting activities, which is a good experience for them as most of them had some farming backgrounds.
